Vaccinium 'Pink Lemonade' Blueberry

You have found it—the most exciting new plant of the season, guaranteed to delight gardeners in all climates. This Vaccinium hybrid is nothing short of a pink blueberry.

The quintessential ornamental edible, 'Pink Lemonade' offers year-round beauty for the sunny border. In spring, the glossy green foliage is dotted with small, sweetly fragrant shell-pink blooms. By May, in most climates, the first crop of berries is dotting this dense, well-branched shrub. The midsized fruit begins pale green then gradually blushes pink before ripening to a deep rosy shade.

Glossy and firm, the fruit has a mild, sweet bite. Successive crops arise on this rabbiteye variety until mid-fall, by which point the foliage has begun turning from green to yellow, gold, and finally brilliant reddish orange. Even in winter, russet-red bare stems keep 'Pink Lemonade' interesting.

Grow 'Pink Lemonade' as you would any other blueberry, in well-drained, enriched acidic soil that remains consistently moist. It is self-fertile, so you need plant only one. (It looks great in pairs, though). Cannot ship to CA, MI, OR, WA.
