Deutzia Yuki Kabuki™

A Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrubs variety, Deutzia Yuki Kabuki™ is a deciduous shrub offering 3 seasons of interest. Heavy blooming, this charming bush blankets its slender branches in showy sprays of pretty pink and white blossoms from early to late spring. Nectar and pollen rich, the flowers sustain pollinators, including bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Its finely textured foliage remains glossy and bright green all summer but displays lovely shades of yellow, red, and purple for autumn.

A Deutzia hybrid, commonly called deutzia, Yuki Kabuki has a rapid growth rate and an upright, bushy, mounding habit. Shown to best effect when grouped or massed, deutzia shrubs are perfect for landscapes, foundation plantings, mixed beds, and low hedges. But they also make great specimen plants.

An easy-grow, easy-care plant, deutzia grows best in sunny to partly sunny locations with rich, humusy, moist, well-draining soils, but it grows well in a wide range of soils, including clay. The shrub tolerates drought, once established, and resists deer. Any desired pruning should be done immediately after flowering.
