Dalmatian Mix Digitalis Seeds

Plug crop time: 5 to 6 weeks
Transplant to finish: 10 to 14 weeks

The Dalmation Mix Digitalis is a beautiful blend that blooms the first year from seed. Uniform in height and early flowering, the mix creates a long-blooming composition of tall spires arrayed in soft pastel-colored blooms with speckled throats, set against compact leaves.

Digitalis purpurea varieties, commonly called foxglove, Dalmation Mix plants are well-branched and have an upright habit. They add interesting architecture and texture to beds and borders, especially nice against a dark background or in a naturalized area.

These foxglove varieties grow best in sunny locations with organically rich, moist, well-draining soils having an acidic pH. Soil should not dry out. Some shade may be beneficial in hot summer climates in the South. Deadheading encourages rebloom.

This seed comes as a pellet. Pelleted seeds are small seeds that have been clay-coated to make them larger and more uniform in size and shape, making them easier to handle when planting.

NOTE: Digitalis is toxic and should be kept away from children and pets.
