Favored with rich foliage and striking color, Magic Giant is easy to care for and always changing its color. The thick foliage emerges a bronzy shade of green, only to turn dark green for summer and much of fall, before taking on deep shades of burgundy for winter.
Measuring up to a foot in length and width, the leaves are spectacular, especially in the bleak winter landscape. Only 12 to 18 inches high and 18 to 24 inches wide, Magic Giant makes a bigger impression than its size would suggest. Deer and rabbits leave it alone. Neither dry shade nor coastal spray bother it, and in general it is impervious to changes in soil and weather. Good with Hostas, Ferns, and Lamium. Magic Giant pairs beautifully with other perennials as well as shrubs in the border. Unique in so many ways, this unique favorite makes a big impact in any garden!
