These extra-strength 1020 Humidity Domes from Bootstrap Farmer fit all 1020 trays and allow you to regulate the temperature and humidity level when germinating seedlings, growing microgreens, or rooting clones, keeping them safe in warm, humid air to maximize germination.
The dome is made of BPA free #5 high-diffusion plastic with a frosted appearance. That's a good thing. The frosty finish diffuses light much better than a traditional clear dome by breaking light up into smaller particles, which are more evenly distributed over the grow area and are easier for plants to absorb, giving them more usable light.
The rugged plastic has less flex and flop, making the dome more resistant to damage; and it's UV stable and heat-resistant, so it won't become yellowed and brittle in the sun, and it won't warp or melt on a hot day in the greenhouselike most domes on the market do.
The dome also has a molded, easy-grip handle, for one-handed use, and 2 adjustable humidity vents, giving you more control over the humidity levels inside.
Propagation trays are perfect for fodder systems as well as for growing microgreens and wheatgrass or germinating seedlings in soil or hydroponics for hobby or commercial growers.
The 1020 Humidity Dome is dishwasher safe on the top rack, but should be air dried only.
